Stress is a common problem today for every individual in every organization. Stress can come from the various source while you are at work. Stress is known as a silent killer that shakes your confidence, reduces your energy, and sucks your confidence. Even the Occupational Health and Safety Administration has considered stress as a hazard at the workplace that can cost up to $190 per year in healthcare bills. There can be different stressors like low salary, workload, peer pressure, task deadlines, disengaging work, etc. this all can lead to poor performance, low morale, bad results and not giving much attention to work. During my interview with Jillian Grant, she mentioned that it is important to take care of your yourself between work. Stress can really be hard for your health especially during this pandemic, so it is vital to cope-up with stress by different ways. Today I am going to help you make a Pro at handling work stress in your office by following tips.

Workplace wellness- Wellness starts with your workplace, your office desk. You should start with filling your office surroundings with stress-free things that include a little bit of greenery like little plants and beautiful pots. It might sound ridiculous but trust me little pots are little green freshness that can bring a smile to your face. If not, you can put some scented candles to always lighten your mood, keeping the environment smelling good.

Natural Light- Try to create some lighting in your workplace if you do not have windows nearby. Extra lighting always uplifts mood and creates positive vibes. If you have natural light in your office or at your desk, you won’t need to turn on extra lighting saving a lot of energy and costs.

Staying organized- Remember Monica Geller from series F.R.I.E.N.D.S.? Well, she was utterly managed and always keep things organized this always brought her happiness. If you do the same, I mean not exactly the same but try to manage your office desk we can find anything easily. It can save time to find files and folders. It can also help you to manage your desk and look clean all the time.

Listen to music while driving to work- Always turn on the radio to listen to music or connect your playlist to the car to listen to some music. Music helps to soothe the mind it can help to deal with any kind of stress. Start listening to music while driving to work or back home. Do not turn the music loud it can distract you from the road. Always drive safely.

Breathe and drink water- Whenever you feel stressed or confused try breathing calmly such as slowly breathe in breath out several times to calm your nerves. Also, keep a water bottle with you all the time. Your body needs water all the time. Always hydrate yourself.
