What is Monday.com?

Monday.com is the industry’s one of the leading communications and collaboration platforms for organizations which is ideal for project management, task management and allows team members to make important decisions in a collaborative manner increasing productivity throughout the organization.


Why Monday.com is necessary for today’s EAs?

Monday.com has a lot of important and unique capabilities that can be beneficial for an EA. Some of these capabilities include:

· Easy access and constant monitoring of the projects: It allows an organization to monitor a project’s progress and in-depth insights. With everything being organized and monitored in a proper manner, it saves a manager’s time, and that time can be used in important strategic operations.

· It also keeps all the members of an organization on the same page. Within a team, everyone can check what the other departments are working on and check out what phase of the project they are working on.

· Due to its high visual appeal, it becomes very easy to navigate and track different teams and projects which makes it simpler for even a novice member to navigate through the whole platform. The color scheme and the visual appeal make the team's workspace even more interesting and interactive.


Master your Monday.com skills by following these points:

1. Use the Bolt switch- There can be many dashboards you are working on or you want to work on. Finding them at a certain time can be a bit hasty. You can use the Bolt switch button which is at the top left corner of the screen to find your dashboards and workspaces all at once. For a shortcut, you can also press Ctrl + B on a computer or Command + B on a Mac to find the bolt switch.

2. Highlight the changes- Every employee of your team has access to your boards which is why anyone can change or edit anything. Rather than searching for those changes they have made, you enable the ‘board highlights’ option. Just go to your profile and activate the highlight board changes button. This will also let you know what has missed since your last logged in.

3. Sync dates to calendar- You can sync your assigned tasks, meetings, or important dates from outlook, google calendar, etc. to you Monday.com. you just need to make sure you have the date column and timeline column in your dashboards. Goggle calendar is by default sync in your calendar you can also sync other calendars by activating them in column settings.

4. Update changes with one click- While changing multiple items you don’t have to click on each thing one by one you can use the Batch Actions option to change your elements with just one click. You can update, edit, move, archive, or delete multiple things with the help of this option. You can choose "select all items" or you can select each item you want to change. Another important use of batch action is editing your columns for example, status update, assigning people or shifting dates, etc. can be easily done with the help of this option.


5. The mobile app for ease- If you are stuck somewhere, traveling, or busy in a meeting and want to update somethings on Monday.com you just need the mobile app. It allows you to make changes anytime anywhere. Change or edit dashboards, work offline or update your notifications anything can be done on the mobile app as well which lets you stay connected with Monday.com in every situation.
